Leo Warner isn't my type...

Not only is he my brother’s best friend, but he’s out of control.

I’ve made a lot of bad decisions in my life, one of which was marrying my ex. My daughter and I have spent years just getting by, and the last thing I need is an athlete who’s constantly getting in trouble in my life.

But when things heat up and my pride refuses to confide in my brother, Leo Warner is the one person who sees me at my lowest and offers to help.

I can live with him in exchange for some meals. Maybe some dishes and dry-cleaning. But his fall from grace with the media is far from over, and when he’s forced to enter a PR relationship, the only person he trusts for the job is me.

Briar Crosby is an ice queen I shouldn’t want.

Not only is she a single mom who’s been handed some bad luck, but she’s also my best friend’s sister.

The last thing she needs is my particular brand of chaos.

But when she turns up on my doorstep ready to give up, I couldn’t turn her away.

But there’s something about Briar Crosby that makes me want to be a better man…

We’re supposed to fake dating. Still, I should have known her charm would get to me. That I’d want her as more than friends.

I hate being out of control, but I’ll give her everything if it makes her fall for me.

And it leaves me wondering… how do I prevent a Fumble?

This novel left me completely brain-frozen in the best way possible! First and foremost, a huge thank you to Anna for crafting such a stunning story and for letting me dive into the advance reader's copy.

Every page of this book was a treasure, but chapter 47? It stole my heart with Leo's heartfelt confession. And Blair's daughter?

Absolutely adorable! The three of them make the most beautiful family.Thank you so much, Anna, for creating this gorgeous gem. It's a story I'll cherish forever!

This book was an absolute delight, a masterclass in slow burn romance ( I swear slow burn is stress to me but this was definitely something I enjoyed). The story centers around Briar, a strong, independent single mom, and Leo, a reformed playboy who happens to be her brother's best friend. The progression of their relationship was perfectly paced, with just the right amount of tension and anticipation.

This book is definitely A1 and I would tell everyone to read this book.

I absolutely adore this book.

I absolutely adore this book.

I saw this book on booktok. I saw a little video. It made me laugh so I was decided I had to read it. That was the best decision that I had ever made because damn this book was so good. The way Leo was with Elara was absolutely incredible especially when he realised how much he cared about her and was ready to step up and be her parent. Briar and Leo’s relationship was so good. I loved the slow burn and even wished that the book was even longer because I wanted so much more

About Anna Noel

I was once told that my head was in the clouds. That I'm a daydreamer who tends to take awhile to get to the point. So it's only fitting that I now make a living writing slow burn romance books.

I started writing from a young age, finding comfort in fictional worlds. I spent the better part of my teen years under the covers at night, absorbing book after book by flashlight.

Over time, the one thing I knew was that I wanted to be an author, and in 2023 I took the leap, publishing my first Bourne Identity-inspired spy romance.

That December, I published my first sports romance, and life changed.

Now, I spend my days with steaming cups of coffee as I hit my daily word counts, my little black cat on my lap as I chase after my other cat, puppy, and fiance.

Although I'm branching out of sports romances soon, you can always expect angst, obsessed hero's, and love that burns bright and feels like coming home.
